• Achievements of Food Technology Department during Lockdown period

Department of Food Technology has done tremendous work during these Covid-19 pandemic lockdown hours. An initiative of active participation of departmental faculty members in association with ongoing and alumni students to write some review and research articles is really appreciable. As a result, department earned one more opportunity of publication with an international journal (Elsevier; Impact factor 5.1). Remaining research and review compilation are in progress of publication (Springer) while some are in consideration under revision category (Wiley).

Besides these journal publications; students and faculty members also contributed around 12 book chapters in all during the session 2020-21 for publishing houses of national and international repute (CRC Press; Taylor & Francis, Springer, Elsevier and New India Publishing Agency). A book proposal and Indo-Uzbekistan joint project proposal is also under consideration by publishers of an international repute and DST, GOI N. Delhi respectively.

Departmental initiatives to enhance learning capability in students by means of some demonstration workshop and seminars organized in department are really appreciable. As a result of which students itself planned a recently headed webinar entitled “Patent; Rights and Opportunities” in collaboration with Indian Patent Office, N. Delhi.
