Mata Gujri College gets a grant of 1.42 crores under 'Star College' Scheme
Mata Gujri College has got a grant of 1.42 crores under the "Star College" Scheme by the Department of Science and Technology of Government of India. It must me mentioned here that biotechnology, computer science, mathematics,botany , physics, chemistry , zoology and agriculture departments of the college had been awarded "Star Status"by DBT,Government of India's Department of Science and Technology . Director-Principal , Dr Kashmir Singh said that this grant will be used for modernization of laboratories and to provide necessary equipment required by the students for conducting practical experiments. This grant can also be utilized for funding research projects being done by the students.Dr Singh said that the students will be sponsored to visit the major science institutes of India.He appreciated the efforts of Program Coordinator , Ms Pardeep Sandhu, Convener of UGC Cell, Prof Anupreet Singh Tiwana, Deputy Convener Dr Saurabh Gupta and their team.
