One day National Seminar on ‘Revised Accreditation Framework: Possibilities and Challenges for Rural and Semi-urban colleges'13th September 2019 : Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Mata Gujri college organized NAAC sponsored National seminar on ‘Revised Accreditation Framework: Possibilities and Challenges for Rural and Semi-urban Colleges'. Dr. Gurmohan Singh Walia Vice-Chancellor, Khalsa University, Amritsar was the Chief Guest of the day. Dr. Yoginder Verma, former Vice Chancellor and Pro-Vice Chancellor, Central University of Himachal Pradesh was the Keynote Speaker. Dr. Pratibha Jolly, former Principal, Miranda House, University of Delhi was the Resource Person of the seminar.
Dr. Gurmohan Singh Walia said, "NAAC amends the Accreditation framework from time to time and every college should be aware of it.” He emphasized the problems faced by rural and semi-urban colleges while undergoing the Assessment process.
Director Principal Dr. Kashmir Singh welcomed the Chief Guest and other guests and said, "Main aim of this event is to create awareness about the process of accreditation under RAF and the hindrances being faced by rural and semi-urban colleges.” He added that the Revised Accreditation Framework is a combination of Online evaluation and Peer Evaluation.
Dr. Yoginder Verma discussed at length the need for accreditation of Higher Education Institutions, highlighting the key points of the Revised Accreditation Framework. Dr. Pratibha Jolly enumerated the differences and changes between the Revised Framework and the earlier framework.
On this occasion, Dr. Rajinder Kaur, Dr. Harveen Kaur, Dr. Bikramjeet Singh Sandhu, Dr. Gauri Handa, Prof. Pardeep Kaur, Dr. Sangeeta Joshi, Prof. Ratneshpal Singh and Principals and teachers of various colleges were also present.
